The write stuff

emily-poe-crawford-imageEmily Poe-Crawford, 28, always received compliments on her handwriting when she would take notes in school. So after graduating from Furman in 2008 with a double-major in English and Spanish and then receiving a master’s degree in English from Wake Forest University, Poe-Crawford didn’t see herself following a traditional path. Instead, at the request of a roommate from college, she started doing hand lettering and graphic design. She now operates a successful Etsy online store that sells her work, and she has sold designs and calligraphic lettering to American Greetings and Papyrus stores.  Poe-Crawford was recently profiled in the Winston-Salem Journal.
