Furman Women’s Leadership and Philanthropy (WLP) seeks to capitalize on existing strengths and programming to create new models of activity and inclusion for female members of the Furman family.  WLP is an intentional approach to engaging alumnae in philanthropy and elevating women in key volunteer leadership positions. WLP is a new paradigm for alumnae and others to engage with and invest in the university’s future.

Quotes

Furman WIN broadens the vision of what philanthropy looks and feels like. Bringing women together yields powerful and meaningful results, and I’m excited about what Furman women specifically can do together to impact the Furman community and beyond.

Mary Beth Galbreath’95

Power is useless if not used. Power is destructive if used without empathy.

Dr. Cynthia King, Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence and Professor, Department of Communication Studies and Parent’19

Furman WIN will support, inspire and strengthen community among the generations of women who share a Furman connection as they advance through their careers and lives, exponentially increasing the value of a Furman education. As the mother of a graduating senior, I look forward to seeing the impact of WIN on my daughter and her Furman friends.
