The Women’s Leadership Institute at Furman University is a leadership development program for both existing female leaders and developing female leaders. This curriculum is focused on teaching participants evidence-based leadership theory and practical application of these theories to help them inspire followers, lead groups, and achieve organizational goals—all in the context of better understanding the unique challenges women face in the workplace.

No. You do not have to currently be in a formal leadership role to participate. This program is for those interested in growing and improving their leadership knowledge and skills.
Yes. Attendance is mandatory. If you happen to miss a session or more, you can attend the session you miss during the next run of the program in order to complete your certificate requirements.
Yes. There will be session pre work and homework required of the participants.
