Every fall, we welcome more than 2,700 undergraduate students into our residential community. Before you arrive at Furman, get prepared for your specific move-in date and contact us if you have any questions.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation

Fall Orientation is a four-day experience held before the beginning of the fall semester. This mandatory session offers students a starting point in how to interact with others, how to traverse academics, and in many cases, how to deal with living with someone for the first time.

Move-In Dates

New Student Move-In: August 18, 2022

Returning Student Move-In: August 21, 2022

Freshmen students should check-in with the resident assistant of their assigned residence hall when they arrive on campus. Detailed information about parking and the check-in location will be sent students prior to move-in day. Upperclass students will check-in at their Area Offices (Clark Murphy Complex=Judson, South Housing=Poteat, North Village/Greenbelt=North Village J 100).

At check-in, you will receive your Room Condition Report. With your resident assistant’s guidance, you’ll be able to document the condition of your room. This form must be completed and signed.

All move-in dates and times are released by the university. For more information, please check the university’s homepage.
