Our program isn’t just for pre-law students. Whether you’re considering a career in medicine or the financial world, our mock trial program offers benefits that go beyond the courtroom:

Time Commitment
Each week, our students generally spend five to six hours preparing for upcoming tournaments. Our teams also compete in as many as 10 tournaments during the academic year. If you have a large number of extracurricular activities, it may be difficult to fully commit to the mock trial program.
How Much Does it Cost to Participate?
We are generously funded by Furman’s Student Government Association and the University. Those monies, however, do not cover all costs associated with the team’s extensive travel schedule. Students are assessed fees ranging from $75 to $150 per tournament. Some tournaments, like Furman’s Bell Tower Tournament, have no added cost.
