Furman will host an Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS) tournament in 2026, which is the second stage of the American Mock Trial Association’s (AMTA) annual national tournament competition. The Bell Tower Tournament is one of eight ORCS events staged across the U.S., and the two-day competition will host the top teams from each of AMTA’s regional tournaments in the South. The top six teams from each ORCS tournament advance to AMTA’s National Championship Tournament in April. Founded in 1985, AMTA serves as the governing body for intercollegiate mock trial competitions. Each year, more than 5,000 undergraduate students representing 750 teams from over 350 colleges and universities compete in AMTA-sanctioned tournaments.

Tournament Dates: 14-15 March 2026
