Furman mathematics students enjoy one of the busiest calendars on campus. You can attend a conference with some of the nation’s top sports statisticians, hang out with leading thinkers at our Clanton Lecture Series or the Math and Munchies Colloquium Series, and help high school students compete in a renowned regional math tournament. We also hold social events for faculty and students on a regular basis.

Clanton Lecture Series

Every autumn, our students meet with one of the top minds in mathematics at the Donald H. Clanton Visiting Mathematician Series.

Wylie Mathematics Tournament

Our faculty and students organize Furman's annual Wylie Mathematics Tournament, in which top high school mathematics students from across the Southeast compete.

Carolinas Sports Analytics Meeting

This annual conference hosted at Furman is a window on the mathematics of athletic competition.

Math and Munchies Colloquium Series

Furman's Math and Munchies Colloquium Series provides an opportunity for faculty and students to investigate topics of contemporary research interest.
