In addition to its lab facilities, the Department also maintains a student lounge and research area. The student lounge features couches, a microwave and refrigerator for snacks, an XBOX360 with a Live account. The lounge is open to all CS majors and current CS students, and is open whenever the labs are open.
The research area features dual-monitored, high-performance (P4ht 3.2ghz) Dell workstations. These workstations are installed with the same software as the labs and may be configured as dual-boot Windows/Linux machines. Some research stations also have Sun UltraSparc machines. Research space is limited and is assigned each term by the Department Chair.
