The Sportsmedicine Center offers internship opportunities to college students pursuing degrees in the allied health or medical fields. Internships are structured in 4 to 6-week experiences. Experiences can range from acute care in the athletic setting to physical therapy in the rehabilitation setting.
Students are given hands-on exposure to patient care, design of treatment protocols, operational practices, HIPAA guidelines, various treatment modalities, and facility maintenance in a healthcare setting.
Furman University students can earn course hour credit through the Internship Program Dept. or Health Science Dept. Students interested in these internship opportunities should call the Sportsmedicine Center at 241-5190 for more information.
