Julia Morris has been a sports anchor in South Carolina for the last six years. She joined WYFF News 4 as the weekend sports anchor in January 2018. She came to WYFF 4 from WBTW in Myrtle Beach where she was the weekend sports anchor. In Myrtle Beach, Julia covered two national championship teams (Coastal Carolina baseball in 2016 and Clemson football in 2016).

Julia was named the South Carolina Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association (NSMA) in 2021. She is the first woman to win the award in the state of South Carolina. She also earned an Emmy nomination in 2021 for a feature story she put together on beloved Greer High School Athletic Director Travis Perry.

Julia graduated from Boston College in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. After graduating, she returned home to New York City and worked as a production assistant at CBS’s Studio 43 during the filming of the NFL Today Show and College Football Today. After spending two years at CBS, she moved to Syracuse to attend the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she graduated with her master’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with a sports communication emphasis.
Julia is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She played basketball, softball and soccer in high school. As a senior, she was the captain of her basketball team that won a city championship and was also named to the PSAL All-Brooklyn team.
