‘Sounds of Summer’ concert series wins coverage in Greenville Journal
Fireworks fill the sky after a “Sounds of Summer” concert in 2024.
Paul Hyde, and arts and culture columnist for Greenville Journal, covers a beloved tradition at Furman University. The Furman Lakeside Concert Band will join the 95-member Greenville Chorale to present a concert featuring favorite patriotic and pop tunes, topped off by a fireworks display. The event is Thursday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Furman amphitheater. McAlister Auditorium is the rain location. Free and open to the public, the concert is part of the Department of Music’s “Sounds of Summer” concert series, which runs through July.
