No confirmed cases of coronavirus in SC

The Greenville News reports that the potential for the 2019 novel coronavirus (a.k.a. 2019-nCoV) to infect people in South Carolina is low, according to SC DHEC. Liv Osby, health reporter for the News, contacted health care providers and universities about how they are dealing with the possible threat. Commenting on upcoming study abroad trips to China, Furman Director of News and Media Strategy Clinton Colmenares said, “We’re not making changes at this point, but we are creating contingency plans for travel to China if conditions change.”
