Furman Homecoming 2024 features floats, carnival and more

Furman University celebrates another Homecoming this weekend, and while we welcome alumni back to campus, students will be working all week long putting together banners, floats and fun activities. Check out what’s happening on- and off-campus all week and get registered for the many events that invite Furman Paladins from across the country and around the world back where it all started.

Tuesday, October 15

7-10 p.m. – Banner Painting Party, Furman Chapel lot, Furman University campus (students only)

Wednesday, October 16

7:15-11 a.m. – Banner Hanging, The Dining Hall, Furman University campus (students only)

Thursday, October 17

9 a.m.-midnight – Float pomping, Furman University Mall

6:30-8 p.m. – Horseplay, McAlister Audiorium (students only)

7 p.m. – Lights on for float pomping, Furman University Mall

Friday, October 18

9 a.m.-5 p.m. – Float pomping, Furman University Mall

10 a.m.-5 p.m. – Hurricane Helene Donation Drive, Furman Fan Zone, Paladin Stadium (non-perishable foods, toiletries, bottled water, flashlights, batteries, diapers, baby food)

Noon-1:30 p.m. – Golden Paladins Luncheon, Younts Conference Center

5-10 p.m. – Homecoming Carnival, Furman University Mall

6:30 p.m. – Float judging, Furman University Mall

7-7:30 p.m. – Pep rally, Furman University Mall

7:30 p.m. – Bonfire, Furman University Mall

7-9 p.m. – Young Alumni Drop-In (classes of 2009-2024), Yee-Haw Brewing Company, downtown Greenville

Saturday, October 19

9-10:15 a.m. – Lakeview Hall Grand Opening, Lakeview Hall, Furman University campus

9 a.m.-1 p.m. – Special Collections and Archives Open House, James B. Duke Library, 2^nd floor

9:30-11 a.m.  – Furman Pride Brunch: Alumni and Student Drop-In, McAlister Auditorium lobby and patio

9:30-11 a.m. – Mingle and Mimosas: Black Alumni and Student Drop-In, Trone Student Center, Thomas Room, 2^nd floor

10 a.m.-noon – Alumni author book signing, The Bell Tower Bookstore and Bistro, Trone Student Center
