Furman University has again been named among the best universities in the country by The Princeton Review’s “389 Best Colleges.” Furman has appeared in the guide every year since it started more than 30 years ago.

The university ranked No. 22 for “Most Accessible Professors” and “Best College Theater.” The university ranked No. 12 for “making an impact” earlier this year in The Princeton Review’s “Best Value Colleges” guide. Furman is also included in the publication’s “Green Colleges” and “Best South” lists.

Furman has been included in the Best Colleges publication for more than 30 years.

The Princeton Review rankings depend solely on students’ answers to an 85-question survey. Surveys over multiple years are compiled into the rankings.

In a highlight of student comments, The Princeton Review writes, “Furman University is a school that helps its undergraduates ‘become the best versions of themselves.’” Among the positive aspects students mentioned were study away, “experiential learning,” research and internships.

Students described their peers as a “community of open-minded people” who are “willing to help one another.” Another student said, “I was completely taken aback at how genuine and kind the people here are.”
