Fostering community unity

Greenville County is home to an impressive number of international companies, foreign-born residents, and foreign students and diversity leaders studying at Upstate higher education institutions. Daniel S. Sanders, Jr., a member of the Furman Board of Trustees and vice president, general counsel and secretary at Michelin North America, wrote a piece for The Greenville News about how the result is a rich blend of cultures, perspectives and interests that contributes significant and diverse cultural capital to the area. Sanders is a 1986 Furman graduate who earned his law degree at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
