The Furman University Department of Theatre Arts presents two iconic plays of the Theatre of the Absurd era – “The Lesson” by Eugene Ionesco and “The Dumb Waiter” by Harold Pinter. The one-act plays will be performed in The Playhouse Nov. 28-Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday, Dec. 2. Furman’s Rhett Bryson directs. Both plays offer insightful views of the human condition – from fear and uncertainty to the abuse of power and authority.
