Designing the future in Savannah
In 1996, when Furman graduate Denise Grabowski first arrived in Savannah, Ga., she was so captivated by the urban living experience that she changed her career. Up until then, Grabowski, who graduated from Furman in 1994, was using her environmental science degree to conduct water quality outreach work. She is now president of a highly successful one-person urban planning firm, Symbioscity, which has worked with local governments and consulted with public and private companies since 2011.
