Basketball great Bob Pettit remembers Frank Selvy ’54 on SEC Network

In a documentary about Southeastern Conference basketball history that aired on ESPN’s SEC Network, hoops legend Bob Pettit of Louisiana State University remembers another legend, Furman University’s Frank Selvy who made history when he scored 100 points in a 1954 game against Newberry College. SEC network included vintage film of Selvy and Furman’s campus from the early 1950s. ABC affiliate WUTR in Utica, New York, also mentioned Selvy’s feat on the game’s Feb. 13 anniversary. Until that contest, Pettit and Selvy were running neck and neck in points per game during their senior year. See related Furman Athletics story here.
