Anderson ’19 received national praise during Disability Pride Month
During July’s Disability Pride Month, Natalie Anderson ’19, a Furman University psychology graduate, was celebrated by the National Center for Women and Information Technology. At NCWIT, Anderson serves as an Aspirations in Computing Community Membership and Online Operations Specialist. In a LinkedIn post, Anderson, who born with a balance disability called benign central hypotonia, is described as being passionate about inclusivity, accessibility and diversity, and as an advocate for people of all abilities.
Beyond her work with NCWIT, Anderson is a life skills coach, assisting adults with disabilities to further their independence while also providing companionship. She also coaches soccer for kids and adults who have disabilities.
