Politics professor Brent Nelsen weighs in on Sen. Tim Scott’s run for presidency

Fox Carolina interviewed Brent Nelsen, professor of politics and international affairs, who was in Turkey on a MayX trip, about Sen. Tim Scott’s announcement that he will run for president in 2024. Nelsen discussed Scott’s position as a positive, optimistic candidate, in contrast to others in the race, and as the only Black Republican senator. It’s possible, Nelsen said, that Scott is adding his name to the national conversation now for a more substantial run in 2028.
