The Furman University community came together April 25 for the ninth annual Dins Day, a 24-hour celebration of Paladin pride and philanthropy.

This year, 2,339 alumni, students, parents and friends of the university contributed 3,000+ gifts totaling $1,433,873 toward student scholarships, academics, Paladin athletics, institutes and student experiences. To celebrate, FAN Clubs hosted events in 15 cities across the country with over 150 alumni and friends of Furman attending.

“The Furman community continues to surprise and exceed our expectations on Dins Day,” said Gloria Goosby, director of annual giving. “Just two weeks after the launch of Clearly Furman, the Campaign for Our Third Century, Furman’s largest campaign in history, our community gave to support our institution and its students, and showed up as a community to celebrate our shared experience as Paladins. I truly believe Dins Day 2023 is an early indicator of the support the Furman family has for Clearly Furman. I’m excited to see the many ways supporters will continue to ensure all students experience the fullness of The Furman Advantage during the remainder of the campaign.”

Dins Day 2023 coincided with LDOC (last day of classes) which allowed for current students to participate through Dins Drop, Furman’s plinko-esque chip game where students can win prizes and allocate dollars towards the funds that most impact them on campus.
