U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service features alumna
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service featured Allyne “Lyne” Askins ’91 in a “Women of Wildlife” story for Women’s History Month. Askins was a political science major bound for law school until a biology class her junior year turned her on to natural resource management. She took eight biology classes her senior year to prepare for graduate school and her career. For 17 years she has been the refuge manager of the Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge Complex.
