Dins are SoCon champs!

The Dins are the 2023 Southern Conference champions and are headed to March Madness for the first time since 1980. [Read Furman Athletics’ story.]
The Furman University men’s basketball team defeated the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga 88-79 on Monday night at Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville in the final match of the 2023 Ingles Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Championship.
The victory earns the Paladins spot in the 2023 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. It will be the first time Furman will appear in the March Madness brackets since 1980.

Selection Sunday Watch Party
Furman will be assigned its slot in the tournament on Selection Sunday, March 12. A watch party is scheduled for Timmons Arena, where the 2023 NCAA tournament brackets will be announced live on CBS.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and the broadcast starts at 6 p.m.
