ETFs, hedge funds, alts, CPI, PCE, PPI, BCOM, WTI, IEA – these terms might be confusing to some, but not for Rob Kenney, senior investment officer at Furman University. Kenney, who joined Furman in 2012, was named to Chief Investment Officer’s Class of 2021 NextGens, a list of accomplished investors in the world of institutional asset allocation.

Kris Kapoor, chief investment officer at Furman, has partnered with Kenney to teach an investment management class at the university where they’ve mentored budding investors. Citing Kenney’s understanding of big-picture institutional finance, Kapoor said, “Very early in his tenure here, Rob fully embraced the mission of the institution and it shows every day in how he represents the university.”

Learn more about Kenney’s thoughts on inflation and interest rates, alternative investments, cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and a pretty smart investment recommendation he made for Furman in the latest issue of Chief Investment Officer.
