Is Lindsey Graham actually in trouble in S.C.?

After announcing his bid for the South Carolina U.S. Senate race in 2019, Democrat Jaime Harrison is gaining steam in campaign financing, nearly neck-and-neck with incumbent Lindsey Graham. Still, the challenger is facing an “uphill battle,” said Danielle Vinson in a POLITICO article. Vinson, a Furman University alumna and politics and international affairs professor, said, “It’s still South Carolina, it’s still very much a Republican state.” She concedes the race will be more competitive than those in the past because voters now have a “credible candidate” in Harrison.
