SC primary: critical springboard for Super Tuesday

As the South Carolina Democratic primary approaches, Li Zhou of Vox speaks to Furman University Politics and International Affairs Professor Danielle Vinson ’89 about the crowded field. Considered the first major test of African American support, the results of the primary in the Palmetto State could significantly shrink the pool of candidates going forward. Vinson said, “Normally, we have a pretty good sense of who’s going to win. This year, there are a lot of people who are still searching for a candidate…we’re just kind of drowning in candidates right now.”
