Gabbard votes ‘present’ for Trump impeachment

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) voted “present” on the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, in one of the sharpest splits she has made with her party while seeking its presidential nomination. Gabbard, who spoke at a town hall meeting Dec. 15 on the campus of Furman University, was on the fence about her intentions ahead of Wednesday’s vote. “I’m taking this time for myself to be able to review everything that’s happened, all the information that’s been put forward,” she said. “And just all the factors that go into really trying to figure out what is the best action to take for our country.
