Will Warren’s moment translate to momentum in SC?

Political reporter Caitlin Byrd of The Post and Courier wrote about Elizabeth Warren’s positive polling numbers in South Carolina in her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. Recent polls show the candidate edging closer to Joe Biden’s strong foothold in the state, but the consensus among voters is that Warren needs to be more active in the Palmetto State to have success in the primaries.

Byrd spoke to Warren supporter Andrew Wynkoop, a senior psychology major at Furman University who got behind Bernie Sanders in 2016. “I envision myself eventually supporting Warren over anyone else, so I’m holding her to a standard where she needs to show me that I can do that. I really want to support her more than Bernie, but I need a little more convincing,” Wynkoop said.
