Bound for Augusta National

Furman senior Haylee Harford and junior Natalie Srinivasan, along with Paladin alum Alice Chen ‘18, have been invited to compete in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur golf tournament that will take place April 3-6. An international field of 72 women amateur golfers will compete over 54 holes of stroke play.  A cut will take place after 36 holes, advancing the leading 30 players to the final round at Augusta National Golf Club.

“I am so excited that Alice, Haylee and Natalie were invited to play in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur,” said Furman head coach Jeff Hull. “This should be an amazing event that will showcase the best in women’s amateur golf. Having three players in the field is special, and I am so proud of all of them.  It should be a very exciting week.”

WSPA-TV in Spartanburg reported on the Furman women’s involvement in the tournament.
