Manuscript Club students bound for Mexico City

Mexico City is the capital of Mexico in North America.

Students in the Furman Manuscript Club have submitted an abstract, which has been accepted for the 2018 Digital Humanities Conference to be held in Mexico City this June. Using a double-blind peer review process, reviewers had no idea the abstract was the work of undergrads whose only diplomas (for now) are high school. Knowing the acceptance rate for submissions was less than 50 percent, Furman Classics professor Chris Blackwell couldn’t be prouder of his crew for the abstract, which describes a “replicable and sustainable combination of technology and workflow” for publishing and analyzing ancient texts.
