Music in Italy

Furman music students study more than music as part of the Music in Italy program in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Taking a break from their home-away-from-home at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Madison Allen ’19 and Laura Lynn Brickle ’19 embarked on a three-day tour to Assisi, Siena and Orvieto where they viewed art, architecture and churches to better understand the relationship between visual art and music. (Scroll to “Music Students on an Art Tour.”) They also gained new ideas about performing in the “Movement for Musicians” course they took. Jack Wagner ’19 offers advice on navigating the balance between studies and adventure. Read more about his goals in the “Looking Ahead to the Finish Line” section of ADALife, newsletter of the Accademia dell’Arte.
