Furman’s Communications Office receives awards
The University Communications office at Furman received four major awards at the CASE District III annual conference held in Nashville Feb. 6-8.
The university captured two “Award of Excellence” honors for Origin Stories and Furman Moments, both in the general category of Electronic and Digital Media. Origin Stories (Online Innovation/Experimentation) is a multimedia presentation featuring five 2016 graduates who explained how Furman had shaped their lives, and Furman Moments (Marketing/Branding Video) is a video that showcases life at the university through a compilation of cellphone videos submitted by students.
The University Communications office also received “Special Merit Awards” for the 2016 redesign of the Furman News Site (Programs and Projects/Media Relations Program) and a series of Furman Admissions Postcards (Graphic Design/Specialty Piece).
CASE District III advances and supports educational and professional institutions in the southeastern U.S. by enhancing the effectiveness of alumni relations, fund raising, communications and marketing. The awards program recognizes the “very best” in advancement across the Southeast, according to CASE – the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
