Water and the economy
Does water infrastructure and business development go hand-in-hand? Absolutely, says Furman Business Professor Bruce Clemons. He and 10 students traveled to Guatemala this summer where the group helped to spearhead a project to extend water lines to a rural community. The students, too, examined how access to safe and reliable water can boost economies and improve lives. Clemens and Furman student Sarah Gauby were interviewed earlier this month by Mike Switzer of the South Carolina Business Review about their work. Listen to the interview.
