Furman STEM Scholars Program 2021

The Furman STEM Scholars program is funded through a $1,000,000 award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to Furman University providing tuition assistance (up to $10,000/year) to two cohorts of entering freshman (Fall 2021 and Fall 2022) who intend to major in a STEM discipline, demonstrate academic merit and significant financial need, and exhibit a passion for science beyond the classroom.

A key component of the Furman STEM Scholars program is a pre-college bridge experience will set the stage as the incoming cohort of students spend 8 days (7 nights) living together in the dorms and attending courses, getting a snapshot of the academic expectation awaiting them in the fall.
