The Young Benefactors (YB) program embodies the strength and leadership of Furman’s young alumni. Donations from YBs help current students experience The Furman Advantage to its fullest.

Young Benefactor Giving Tiers
Young alumni within their first 15 years beyond graduation are invited to join Young Benefactors by giving at the leadership levels below. You can choose to give a one-time annual gift or set up a monthly recurring gift through automatic bank draft or credit card.
For the current 2025-2026 fiscal year:
- 0-3 years post-graduation (2025, 2024, 2023, 2022): minimum gift of $250 annually or $21 monthly
- 4-6 years post-graduation (2021, 2020, 2019): minimum gift of $500 annually or $42 monthly
- 7-9 years post-graduation (2018, 2017, 2016): minimum gift of $750 annually or $63 monthly
- 10-14 years post-graduation (2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011): minimum gift of $1,500 annually or $125 monthly
- 15 years post-graduation (2010): $2,500+ annually or $209 monthly (qualifies for inclusion in Furman’s Bell Tower Society)
If both you and your spouse are Furman alumni, you only need to make one leadership level gift in order for each of you to qualify as YBs. You do not need to make individual YB gifts! We also honor the later graduation year (lower amount) between alumni couples if there is a difference in spouse graduation years.
