Every student deserves an individualized education that prepares them for a meaningful and fulfilling life. That’s why we created The Furman Advantage, a distinctive vision that integrates academic excellence, internships, research and study away that creates unique experiential learning.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to make The Furman Advantage accessible and affordable for all students. That’s where The Partners Program comes in.

The Partners Program

The Partners Program is a scholarship program that connects annual and endowed scholarship donors with their student recipient. As a Partner, you will have the opportunity to support a student’s 4-year education expenses, invest in their personal growth, and witness the impact of your generosity firsthand.

By becoming a Partner, you will:

  • Provide scholarships that enable students to pursue their education both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Build a meaningful relationship with your student recipient through letters, emails, phone calls, and campus events.
  • Join a network of like-minded donors who share your commitment to Furman’s focus on providing world-class opportunities to every student, strengthen its dedication to a student-focused academic experience and deepen its community impact.

Becoming a Partner

The Partners Program is open to anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of Furman students. Become a Partner by creating a scholarship funded through annual gifts or by establishing an endowed scholarship that will impact Furman students in perpetuity.

Become a Partner by creating a scholarship funded through annual gifts:

  • $5,000 per year for a minimum of four years to benefit a student with demonstrated financial need.
  • $15,000 per year for a minimum of four years to benefit a student with demonstrated financial need who shares your academic or extracurricular interests, or who is from your geographic area.

Become a Partner by creating an endowed scholarship that will impact Furman students in perpetuity:

  • Through a commitment of $100,000 payable over four years to benefit a student with demonstrated financial need.
  • Through a commitment of $250,000 or more payable over four years to benefit a student with demonstrated financial need who shares your academic or extracurricular interests, or who is from your geographic area.

As a Partner, you will be matched with a student recipient who shares your academic or extracurricular interests, or who is from your geographic area. You will also receive regular updates from the Office of Development about the progress and impact of your scholarship.
