Filing and submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) hasn’t been easy for anyone this year.  You are not alone.  With the changes to the FAFSA itself and the delayed launch, Furman University is fully aware of the issues and recognizes that you need our support.  Additionally, the Department of Education recently announced that universities will not have access to student FAFSA data until at least mid-March this year.  Together, we will work with you to ensure that you are provided with the encouragement, support, and guidance to make attending Furman University a reality this fall.

Here are some takeaways to help you through this time:

  • We are awarding need-based financial aid utilizing the CSS Profile until the FAFSA data becomes available.
  • Our Financial Aid counselors are here and ready to answer any questions or concerns you have throughout the FAFSA and financial aid process.  We encourage you to contact our offices if you need additional support.

International students are eligible for all institutional merit-based scholarships but are not eligible for need-based grants.
