AI Literacy Meets the Writing Classroom Workshop

The writing classroom is one important place where we can integrate Furman’s AI Literacies and CompetenciesOn Wednesday, September 10, from 3–4 p.m. in Duke Library 043, we will explore the spectrum of AI engagement in writing instruction—from introducing students to AI concepts without having them use AI to facilitating supervised AI use.

While specifically designed for First-Year Writing faculty, this session offers valuable insights for anyone guiding students through the writing process in our evolving digital landscape. Participants will leave with concrete methods to address AI literacy while maintaining academic integrity and fostering critical thinking skills.
