February 13 from 4 pm – 5:15 pm
Location TBD
The Faculty Development Center and Writing Programs invite you to join us and Dr. Paul Fyfe for a day of learning about the ethical uses of artificial intelligence tools and the impact of ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) on your pedagogy.
Dr. Paul Fyfe is an Associate Professor and Director of the Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities in the Department of English at NC State University. He is the author of “How to Cheat on Your Final Paper: Assigning AI for Student Writing“.
In addition to his role in the English department, Fyfe teaches the HON seminar, HON 202: Data and the Human. In fact, his article (linked above) was inspired by an activity Fyfe conducted with his students in this course. More broadly, his research focuses on computational approaches to humanities data sets.
