Our approach to teaching writing has shifted in response to generative AI. Should our approach to assessing writing change, too? In this session, designated for WR faculty but relevant to anyone teaching writing, we will explore specific ways we might alter our approach to assessing student writing, regardless of whether we allow or restrict generative AI use in student writing.
