Furman faculty and academic staff are invited to join the FDC in one of our Fall 2025 Reading Circles featuring The Courage to Teach by Parker Palmer. 

In this text, Palmer explores how an instructor’s inner world, identity, and even fears, can inform their teaching practice. By prompting readers through self-reflection, Palmer provides insight on instructor burnout, well-being, and teaching success. We will meet for conversation three times in Duke Library 203 (Pitts Room), on October 9, October 23, and November 6 from 3-4:15 p.m.
