September 2, 2025 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Tuesday, September 2, 2025
3:30-4:30 p.m.

In the first workshop of the fall semester’s AI in Action series, Instruction and Research Services Librarian Jean Thrift will provide an overview of Furman University Libraries’ new AI LibGuide. Participants will learn about how librarians are engaging AI and how Furman Libraries can support students as they acquire AI Literacy. There will be time for questions and exploring the AI tools and resources included in the interactive guide. To engage fully in the workshop, attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet. Snacks will be provided, as well!

Two other AI in Action Workshops will take place this fall:

  • Tuesday, October 7, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Duke Library 041, featuring John Quinn (Biology)
  • Monday, November 3, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Duke Library 041, featuring David Fleming (Politics and International Affairs)

Attendance at upcoming workshops is not required for this workshop, but gladly encouraged.
