Join us in welcoming the newest member of our Faculty Development Center team: Associate Director, Stephanie D. Freis. Stephanie is a previously tenured psychology professor with experience in the scholarship of teaching and learning, assessment, workshop facilitation, and a wide-range of instructor support services such as first-year faculty mentorship and writing accountability groups. She is excited to collaborate with faculty and support their growth as educators, scholars, and community members. At our hosted lunch, faculty and academic staff from across disciplines will have an opportunity to engage in conversation about their Furman teaching, research, and service experiences. During this casual gathering, we’ll get to know each other better and explore resources and services available through the FDC. Feel free to come with suggestions on current or future support systems you’d like to see the new Associate Director provide. 

Our lunch will convene on Thursday, August 28th from 11:30-12:30pm in the Trustees’ Dining Room. Register in advance for a free lunch. Remember you can skip-the-line as you enter the dining hall to join our conversation more quickly.
