Center for Engaged Learning Peer Ambassadors
I am a strong advocate for asset based community development, and engaged learning is the perfect component of being able to share experiences and create social change across campus.
Engaged learning is such a vital part of cultivating personal growth. You discover who you are, what you're capable of, and what you can bring to the table when you put yourself to the test.
I am fortunate to have been provided with an abundance of incredible opportunities that have contributed to my intellectual, professional, and academic development, all of which I accredit to The Furman Advantage.
The Student Opportunity Center specializes in compiling research and publication opportunities for undergraduates. Register with your Furman email address to gain access. On the upper right-hand side under your name choose “student app” and a search bar will show up at the top. The SOC has a host of pre-populated search words that you can choose from in a drop-down box. You will then see on the left-hand side the kinds of opportunities you can choose from—conferences, publications, off-campus research/internships and funding/scholarships.
