About the talk

How has personal faith played a role in the history of leadership of our nation? Dr. Russell J. Levenson, Jr. notes it has been said that “religion and politics make strange bedfellows.” In his talk on October 23, Levenson will explore how faith and religious belief have been wielded as political tools and weapons since the founding of our nation, and share through his personal connections with many of those leaders, how they have not “used” their faith, but instead turned to it – in very personal ways – to be guided in their policies, programs and even politics.
