Fall Football Season

Everyone loves football season… the turning of the weather, fall festivities, and especially tailgates. A time to set up tents with your friends and organizations, grill out, and support your team. And Furman does it best. As a No. 4 FCS-ranked football team, you still get to support a high D-1 level college team, while having a more fun, relaxed, and inclusive tailgate atmosphere.

How Furman Tailgates!

Furman tailgates are set up differently than most colleges, they’re right next to the stadium! This allows for students, supporters, and alumni to enjoy socializing while also getting to watch the game up close. Furman’s tailgate setup also allows students to mix and mingle with all the different organizations on campus. Most organizations set up their tent on the field with food and refreshments, allowing students to easily move between tents and socialize.

Greek Life and Tailgating!

Like many organizations on campus, Greek Life loves to tailgate as well! Just like how Greek Life at Furman is, tailgating also makes it really easy to meet and mingle with all the chapters. All the sororities and fraternities at Furman set up their tents next to each other for the game. I am a part of a sorority in Greek Life, and I love walking around to all my friends’ sororities, fraternities, and organizations tents!

Family Weekend!

Furman recently had their annual Family Weekend this past weekend! Students’ families are invited to come to Greenville and participate in a weekend full of festivities. The highlight of the weekend is Furman’s Family Weekend football game and tailgate! Families are invited to Furman’s Family Tailgate BBQ as well as access to the tailgate area to socialize with students and organizations. Furman loves their family and alumni fanbase and likes to include them in on the tailgate fun.

Furman games are so fun to watch with our talented cheer and dance teams, band, and supportive fanbase. It’s almost impossible to not have great pride in our school when you walk into Paladin Stadium. Come and experience Furman’s great football atmosphere and tailgating!

Go Paladins!!
