All talented and passionate artists are welcome at Furman Theatre. We don’t require auditions to be admitted to our program, but if you’re interested in our department, we invite you to visit us.

For those admitted students, you and your family have the opportunity to meet our faculty, tour our facilities and campus, get to know our majors and alumni, attend a show, and meet with an admission counselor.

Plan a Visit

When you visit Furman University, you’ll see why we’re one of the top-ranked campuses in the country. And, more importantly, you’ll know if you want to spend four years as part of the Furman Theatre family. Make a plan to meet students, talk with Faculty, and sit in on a class. Visit us.

Attend a Performance

We’re training future theatre artists, and one of the best ways to see that training at work is to attend one of our performances. From main stage productions to student-produced work to class showcases, Furman Theatre is hard at work. Find out about our upcoming events.

Theatre Arts Preview Day

Join us for an Academic Preview Day. These visits are designed specifically for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to learn more about the Theatre Arts major at Furman University. We’ll shape your visit in a way that makes it accessible to your needs. Possibilities include:

  • Meet and Greet with our current Theatre Arts majors.
  • Talk with Furman Theatre alumni.
  • Q&A with Theatre Arts professors.
  • Tour of The Playhouse and Design Annex, as well as a tour of Furman’s campus.
  • Participate in a workshop taught by one of our professors.
  • See a Furman Theatre main stage production.
