I am a Developmental Psychologist, teacher, and educator who brings a combination of my expertise in Psychology, Global Poverty, Global Health, Gender Studies, Human Rights, and Sustainability to not only inspire and engage, but also analyze, strategize and drive change. I am an adjunct faculty in Asian Studies, Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies, and the Master’s Degree Program in Advocacy and Equity. I am also a Faculty Affiliate with the Shi Institute for Sustainable Communities. I have taught interdisciplinary courses at Furman since 1995and at other institutions including the University of South Carolina Upstate, Middlebury College, and Greenville Technical College My teaching and research explore the relationships and intersections between poverty, gender, health, marginalized communities, and climate change.

From 2014-2022, I was the Director of Grants and Partnerships at Together Women Rise, a powerful community dedicated to achieving global gender equality. At Together Women Rise I managed the grant cycles, advised, mentored, and liaised with applicants and partners from across the world.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling and am an unabashed foodie.
