Shon Herrick has been a higher education advancement professional for nearly 30 years.  His experience is broad, launching his career in annual giving at Furman University and then serving as a major gifts officer.  The success that he experienced enabled Shon to become a chief development officer at the University of Illinois, leading the advancement efforts first for the Division of Student Development and then for the College of Law.  He and his team secured more than $45MM in commitments for the respective departments.  Following this tenure Shon became the Vice President for Development at Pfeiffer University, leading a team of 8 and raising more than $20MM.  Since 2010 he has served as Associate Vice President and now Interim Vice President for Development.  He has been a key part of the team that has raised more than $570MM over the last 15 years.  Shon is a first-generation college student who holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and a master’s degree from Clemson University.
