Marvin is the former CEO and part Owner of ACS Technologies (Retired). ACS was started in 1979 in his hometown of Florence SC with the mission of providing software for churches. It grew to be one of the largest software providers for churches and is now serving 40,000 congregations.

Marvin holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Furman and a MBA from Wake Forest University. Before starting with ACS Technologies, Marvin worked with Authur Andersen in their consulting division.

Marvin met his wife Beth Ann at Furman and they have four children (two of which attended Furman) and nine grandchildren.  With two of the children living in Jackson Hole they enjoy escaping the South Carolina heat by spending time in Wyoming. He is an avid golfer and is a regular on the Furman alumni golf trips.

Marvin is actively involved in his church and local non-profits. He currently serves on the boards for McLeod Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and The Manor, a senior living community. Marvin and Beth Ann have recently created the Owen Kenney Family Foundation that supports faith based and local non profits.
